Mary Ward plays a vital role at Blue Ocean Capital, where she oversees the firm’s accounting, payroll and client money movement with precision and efficiency. In addition to managing essential financial functions, Mary also curates meaningful employee events and helps shape the firm’s brand identity, ensuring that the company’s values and culture are both reflected internally and communicated externally. Her thoughtful, multifaceted approach helps create an environment where financial accuracy and a vibrant, people-centered workplace coexist seamlessly.
Mary brings over 25 years of experience in accounting and nonprofit management to her role. Before joining Blue Ocean Capital in 2021, she served as Director of Community Events and Grants for Palm Beach Atlantic University in West Palm Beach. In that role she focused on building community partnerships and elevating the quality of campus events through strategic planning, attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to excellence. Her dedication to continuous improvement led to the creation and implementation of an Event Evaluation Survey, establishing a structured feedback system that improved event quality and streamlined internal planning through measurable insights.
Mary earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Salem State College. Her diversified background enables her to approach each project with a combination of authenticity, dependability and an appreciation for the human side of financial and operational excellence.

She resides in Tequesta with her husband and is actively involved in several community organizations, including Meals on Wheels, Philanthropy Tank and Friends of Jonathan Dickinson State Park.
