Susan Murray is a Individual and Fiduciary Tax Specialist at Blue Ocean Capital. With more than 20 years of experience in public accounting, Susan works closely with high-net-worth families and their businesses, offering specialized income tax and strategic planning services. Her areas of expertise include individual, estate, trust, gift and partnership tax returns, where she combines technical knowledge with thoughtful client service.

Prior to joining Blue Ocean Capital in 2021, Susan sharpened her tax and advisory skills at Daszkal Bolton and DeWoody & Co., P.A. Before transitioning into public accounting, she worked for Pratt & Whitney in the Finance Department.

Susan values the talented, technically strong and supportive team at Blue Ocean Capital, which she believes creates a uniquely enjoyable and collaborative workplace environment. One of her proudest professional achievements was playing a role on a client team that successfully navigated a major transaction, resulting in significant tax savings. She is guided by the simple but powerful principle of treating others as she would like to be treated, and she believes no client question is ever too small.

Susan grew up in Miami and a graduate of Florida State University. Beyond the office, she is a sustaining member of the Junior League of the Palm Beaches and was a past board member of the Friends of MacArthur Beach State Park. Susan and her husband, Tim, live in Jupiter and have two adult children. Together, they share a passion for travel and classic cars.
